Wisconsin Lemon Law
Buying a vehicle in Wisconsin requires research and thought. One important factor to consider is the type and duration of the warranty that is provided. If your new vehicle breaks down, you will want as much protection from a warranty so you don’t have to pay for repairs. If you find your new vehicle has to undergo many attempts to repair it, your vehicle may be covered by the Wisconsin Lemon Law. Each state has its own lemon law. In Wisconsin, your new vehicle may be a lemon if:
- It takes 4 or more repairs to the defect within 1 year of the date of delivery; or
- The vehicle is out of service for repairs for 30 or more days.
